This sailing event is conducted in a single purpose: sail in a spirit of friendliness. The 2008 edition was attended by 510 crew members added to 60 volunteers on water and land to assist the event.

Now recognized as one of the largest regattas in the French Caribbean, it is distinguished by the number and the diversity of its participants. At present, in addition to boats from the nearby islands of Martinique, Antigua and Saint Lucia, crews from France, Italy, Holland and French Guyana are expected.

2009 will be the venue for the 9th edition of the Triskell Cup, betting that it will again be a success and that the boats of Guadeloupe, Martinique and other islands will be there.
